Department of Mining Engineering was established in the University in 2010 and has fully equipped laboratories with latest equipment, gadgets, equipment and instrumentation systems for undergraduate program. It has well stocked books in the library in mining and related areas. The computer lab is having latest configuration hardware and software. Students are taken to sites for coal, zinc, iron ore, manganese opencast, aluminum, potash, fluorite and other industrial mineral mining for field experience. Students have opportunities for training and internship in Indian and International Companies.

Students start their career as Mineral Processing Engineer, Researcher, Mineral Exploration, Mining Engineer, Drilling Engineer, Technical Engineer in Mine Management etc.
